River Goddesses
The River Goddesses Women Empowerment Sports Organization was founded in 2014. As one of the top-ranked women’s dragon boat teams in the Philadelphia area, we’ve consistently proven our strength, speed and synergy on the water. We’re a competitive team, dedicated to training and teaching paddlers of all levels—from beginners to seasoned racers. Though our members come from diverse backgrounds, careers and experiences, we’re united by our shared passion for fitness, teamwork, and empowerment.
Our mentoring focuses on educating and supporting young women and girls — Empowered Women, Empowering Women. Several of our members serve as mentors through the Peruvian Hearts Scholars Program and other initiatives that promote leadership, confidence, and opportunity for the next generation.
